your other investments? Or working for that matter. You could be

I work for the intellectual stimulation. Between my pension, my
investments and my share of the proceeds from the strip mall, I can
retire comfortably any time I want. Wait...I forgot, I'll get about
#2300 a month from Social Security, too.

Gosh, I guess I could say "I made a pile of money today." Just like

You can't retire. You don't have any assets. You don't have a retirement
fund. You survive off of your landlord's generosity.
