Default How come you can't refine your own gasoline?

It's an interesting idea but I think you'll find that the complexities
and costs will make it impractical. The big refineries spend a lot
of money on safety and process control but they get to spread the
investment over huge quantities. It would make a great magazine
article for one of the DIY publications however.
