I saw one little thread and it was discussing the winter weather.

Slim pickings.

It's pretty cold here right now, and my boat is on the hard. I did
manage a few days of fishing recently down in Florida, where, while we
were there, the weather was pretty nice. Got to Disneyworld, too.

I'm looking forward to April.

The right-wing, konservatrash khristians have destroyed this newsgroup.
If you came here for boating, bewa you're boating in a cesspool.

Why don't you stop bitching about no boating threads and start a boating
thread. It seems like you enjoy name calling and bitching about no
boating threads.

Why not post a few pictures of the fish you caught, the boat that you
went out on, etc.? Many of us would be interested in what kind of
bait/lures that you used, whether you were trolling or chunking, that
sort of thing.

I troll this newsgroup daily, and I blow chunks all over it. My bait? I
think you know... The fish I caught? Righties, conservatrash, racists, etc.

I'll post those sorts of photos here once the assholes who are hell bent
on taking the newsgroup back to the bad old days either quit or move on.
Until then, it isn't worth the bit of effort it takes.

To respond "verbally," as it were, the day we went fishing in the ICW
and its creeks, we used 5' Ugly Sticks, Penn 4200 and 4300 spinning
reels, 6# braided line, and quarter-ounce jigs baited with live shrimp.
I also tossed a few plastics and several varieties from D.O.A. The boat
was a Carolina Skiff powered by a Honda outboard.

The day we went offshore, we were on a pretty, fairly new 30' Luhrs and
used live baitfish for trolling and for bottom fishing. The trolling
rigs were simple wire rigs, with separated treble hooks, the sort of rig
you use for kingfish. We were using Star Rods and shimano lever drag
reels. When we got tired of dragging baits, we did some bottom fishing
with egg sinkers, fishfinder rigs and circle hooks. We also used dead
squid and dead pogies for bottom fishing.

Wow. 6# braided has got to be some small stuff!

Did the captain of the Luhrs sound a bit jealous when you told him about your
36'er? Probably put that damn Luhrs to shame.

Did you catch any fish? Show us some pictures. Shoot, even those with your
political persuasion like to see pictures.

It was Berkley Fireline, 6# test, and it is very thin. I had to wear my

size as 2# mono would be.

Well, I hope it warms up for you. We lucked out with daytime temps in
the mid and upper 70's. December temps in Orlando vary widely, from,
believe it or not, the low 30's to the low 70's. The water on the rides
on which you get splashed is...cold.

If you haven't been to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, it's worth the
visit. There are some animals there I've never seen anywhere else.

Why not post a few pictures of the fish you caught, the boat that you
went out on, etc.? Many of us would be interested in what kind of
bait/lures that you used, whether you were trolling or chunking, that
sort of thing.

I had to wear my
reading glasses to see it well enough to tie it. It's about the same
size as 2# mono would be.

As I stated previously, I caught some fish.

I see no reason to post personal boat photos or fishing photos here.
Here's a snapshot of boating I took while in florida:

Cool, we'll be riding those in a couple weeks.

Like these:

There's a good Asian restaurant in the Animal Kingdom, and in Downtown
Disney, there's a pretty good Cuban restaurant.

Been there. The restaurant in the Animal Kingdom Hotel, or whatever it's called,
is great also. They're buffet features a wealth of recipes from around the
world.

The Liberty Tree Tavern (I think that is the name) in Dizzy World has
changed its dinner menu. There used to be a selection, like there still
is at lunch, but at dinner there is one price-fixed meal that includes a
platter of ham, roast beef and turkey. It's a lot of food, enough to
feed three, but...sadly...the food is only OK. And it is fairly expensive.

We stayed he

Disney runs a bus from this hotel every 20 minutes to all of its
attractions. We used to stay at the hotels on the monorail line, but
find them overly crowded and noisy. The food court at the Port Orleans
is pretty decent, actually.

Thanks to a weird computer fluke, we got two days of admissions to the
parks for free. When we went to check into the hotel, its computer
reservation system was down and we had to stand in the check-in line for
about an hour. I grumbled a little and the check-in cashier went to talk
to her supervisor. When she came back, she said we'd beem "comped" two
days worth of tickets, worth about $360. Hell, for $360 an hour, I'd
work for a Republican political candidate.

Porgies. You should have eaten them.

I emailed you a couple of fishing snaps from our thanksgiving holiday
trip to warmer climes. Did you get them? I can't remember what email
address I used for you and I'm not at home right now so I can't check
my home computer.

Set up RDC and you can connect to your home computer from anywhere.

I live and boat on the Chesapeake Bay, and meet Harry at the bait shop.
I always enjoy his Parker, but his new boat is a beauty.
