Default I'm finished with boating.

For this year, anyway.
Boat's up on the hard. Yard mechanic will be winterizing over the
weekend. Now I can start the countdown until Spring.

I was there a month ago. Still no rain to speak of and the water
levels are low. and have been for a couple of months. Nothing to do
with boating untill about March and then make plans for river running
and lake circling...

I am going to hire a guide and learn striper fishing on Lake Anna. They're catching bunches of them.
But, I'll have to get a couple more folks interested, 'cause the guides want $450 for a day's
fishing.

Hope you're having a great day!

$450? For the same info that you could probably get from the locals
for the asking?

Perhaps. But I don't know any of the locals. Plus, this guy takes you to get the bait, so you know
where to go for that, Hell, if three of us go, it's $150 apiece, and we get to keep our fish. Such a
deal.

Used to have a poster here who kept track every day of the countdown...
Forget who that was.

From the temps being forcasted here next week, I'm thinking about 9 or
10 days. :-

Almost. Our 2-3 months of "winter" is sprinkled with a couple days of
spring every so often. Nice for getting the boat out (what I was
really referring to), but hard to get climatized to the cold when it's
here.

Yeah, I know. Cry me a river.

We boat all winter. Crabbing or sturgeon fishing. Probably not with the
kayak.
