Just the idea of not working at something useful is anathema to me. Most of my buddies my age and older from the labor union movement are still working, typically as union staff or officers, or consultants to unions or consultants to service-oriented NGOs, or to companies that do business with unions. A 77-year-old "president emeritus" of an international union, someone I've known for more than 30 years, works three days a week for a couple of NGOs trying to resolve public health problems in emerging nations. He's in Haiti right now. If I take a "nice long cruise," as I posted yesterday, it'll be on the Queen Mary II. My idea of boating obviously is not the same as Wayne's. We are glad you are here, and for some reason the heavy trolls seem to be backing off, but there is a history long and bloody that you just are not aware of..
