how is it 'their victory?'

you're gonna have to explain that one...and i was there...

It's a paranoid, right-wing fantasy that says everyone who isn't white or
right-wing is bad.

I'm not stuck in the U.S. own property there or expect anything functional
from the former U.S.; you're there and need to pay attention. It's your,
your kids, and your grandkids problem. Why should 94% of the population of
Earth give a crap of what happens in your counrty?? Even you should be able
to notice the rest of the world doesn't care; your country is a dumping
ground for illiterate 3rd worlders and shoddy impiorted junk. When the U.S.
is belly up that land area will be adopted by functional countries. You have
nothing to say about it.

Speaking of which.
I'm putting new oak baseboard, shoe, and crown molding in a few rooms.
Think I already mentioned the Rigid (Chinese) orbital sander I bought.
And the Chinese knockoff of the German Fein Multimaster.
So anyway,my mitre boxes are all chewed up and my hand saws dull.
Time to get some new stuff.
Craftsman 7 1/4 sliding compound mitre saw and a Sears Evolv 3 gal
compressor with nail gun.
Think they are made in China. I usually don't bother looking anymore.
Saw was accurate right out of the box.
Better than my old 10" Rockwell radial arm.
The baseboard is too high for a mitre with the 7 1/4", but it bevels
just fine. Minor inconvenience.

The nail gun works fine so far and I've shot in about 50' of base.
Sets the nails, no marring. Using 2" 18 guage brads.
Tested same once through shoe and base and looks like I might have to
hammer set them. Maybe I wasn't holding the gun down hard enough.
Won't know until later today or tomorrow when I start putting the shoe in.
Sure beats banging a thumb and denting up wood.

The saw was $119 and the compressor/nailgun $69.
Went on the Sears website to download the saw instruction manual a week
after I bought it, and they had boosted the price to $149.
That's 10" saw range there.
Maybe for you though, that's the cost of a fence extension.
The Evolv is a typical loud, slow-pumping airless compressor.
Good for the nail gun it came with, pumping an occasional tire, and
blowing out dust.

All these non-belt-driven compressors are junk to me, but it's portable,
cheap - and came with what so far is a decent brad shooter for my needs.
Drives about 30 brads before the compressor kicks in.
Don't expect it to last long.
Now you go ahead and recommend a Senco or DeWalt or something you're
selling.
That way I can pay 3 times more - and still get Chinese made.

Jim - Apathy is a problem - but only if you care.

For home hobby it might be fine but once you start using tools to make
your living, all day long, you start to see the difference...

Get a Dozuki, Japanese saw. Freaking things are magic and will put a
very nice cut on wood and thru your thumb nail and thumb. It doesn't
hurt until you see the blood. Seriously, look at the Japanese "pull"
saws, they are great for delicate work and mitering.

You really shouldn't engage these idiots. They'll drag you down to their
level and then beat you with their experience as an idiot.
