Default best way to reseat stanchion posts

Bob, I'm not really clear on what the damage is, but
http://www.marinetex.com/marinetexepoxyputty.html

boasts that some of their product fillers cure so hard you can drill
and tap it for screws etc.

That might be the ticket for filling and re-drilling holes.

At least it's worth investigating.
