I did see some of their shows last winter, but also have mixed feelings

They do great work most of the time, but harass our sealers each spring.
They have also helped the European union to ban seal pelts &

And you support killing seals? What a hypocrite.

Do you support killing cows, chickens etc for food??
Native people and some Newfoundlanders eat the seal meat. It's not just
for the pelts.

Cattle, chickens, etc are domesticated and raised for the specific purpose
of providing food.

Tell us the difference between whales and seals. The Japanese use the
whales for food.

Another difference is that your indigenous populations need the food
they get from hunting. The Japanese do not need the whales...it's just a
cultural thing.

Once in a while while flipping channels I'll come across a "Hunting
Show" in which the "great white hunters" use their high-powered rifles
to shoot a *dangerous* (ha!) deer, elk, moose, sheep, antelope, rabbit,
squirrel, whatever. And they make a big deal out of it, as if it takes
some sort of super skill and more than a day of practice to be able to
fire a rifle accurately. These boys are always so congratulatory towards
themselves and their buddies, even though the only danger/risk they face
is shooting each other.

I don't have a problem with those who have no other way to put meat on
their table going out and shooting a deer. But there sure isn't any
sport in it.

I fish sometimes for "table fish," and never take more than I'm going to
eat for a meal that day or the next. When I catch one, I don't see the
need any longer to post a photo of it. It's just a fish I happened to
catch. I'm not the great white fisherman and I don't want to be.

And the guys who catch pelagics? They should know better.

Hunting or fishing for "high adventure" is just so much bull****.

Let me add this before you little ****ts come snapping at my heels.

That photo I posted some years ago of the redfish I illegally kept- when
I was into posting pictures of my conquests- the only reason I kept it
was because as I was reeling in another fish took a chomp out of the
side of the redfish killing it. I know you couldn't see that in the
photo. I really don't give a foch what you believe it.

And make no snide comments about the plastic patio chair I had on-board
in that photo.

Why not shoot deer, there is certainly no shortage of them. Deer have
become a burden on the environment because we eliminated all of the
predators and I do not see much of a movement to reintroduce big cats
to the north east.

BTW the white tail deer is the most dangerous animal in the US killing
more people than all the predators, snakes and poisonous insects
combined.

How would you feel if a PETA whacko rammed your boat while you were
fishing?

If it sank in deep water, I'd be ok. I have full replacement insurance
on everything.

My major complaint about "hunters" is their macho bravado...as if
shooting a deer with a rifle is some sort of serious accomplishment.
As I said, if you hunt because it is the only way you can put meat on
the table, I have no problem with that.

It isn't the fault of the deer that we have eliminated much of their
habitat.

Oh, and I favor re-introducing large, dangerous predators...cuts down on
the riff-raff. I am privileged to know some people who legally keep
large predators. The big cats and wolves I've meet seem more deserving
of life than your average palinite.
