Default sweet boat ride at dusk

high tide on manahawking bay was about 8 pm so decided to take a ride
at about 6:30. boat's a trawler so does about 7 kts crusining...took
the wife and 2 poodle about 5 miles up the ICM for about 45 mins then
came back

looks quite a bit different when you're at the helm at night. not too
many boats out...people on the shore having dinner, and smells of
grilling fill the air. the sunset was very nice and it felt like we
had the water all to ourselves.

boating is a great experience...always something new, but always a
wonderful time.

Glad you had a blast Bob. When I could I used to go over to the Lake
and especially friday evening when the days were really long, and
cruise around slow. when I had my old 27 ft'r it was more fun
blubbering through the coves at about walking speed if that fast.

Crossing the lake on a good moon was cool too. dim the dash lights sit
up on the top of the cabin and let it talk. Kill the engine out in
the middle of the lake and just listen to the small waves lap the side
of the hull and watch the stars...

gotta love it!

You bet. There's really nothing quite as good as being out on the
water on a nice clear, dark night and seeing all the stars. If you
lay on the deck and look up you are almost guaranteed to see some
shooting stars, and every once in a while, a satellite passing
overhead. Down in the tropics it is not uncommon to leave a trail of
phosphorescence behind you in the wake.

How often do you get enough to float your boat in your driveway? The poor
thing just sits there hoping to get it's bottom wet someday.
