The best part of the coming tax increases is the increase in the lowest tax
bracket from 10% to 15%. That's a fifty percent increase. It's about time

The 60 minutes story and the end of life problem in general, is a
Medicare problem.

no question about it. in fact 25% of medicare is used by the 5% of
patients in their last year of life

the healthcare bill had a provision to help look at addressing this
ratioanlly. as a former hospice volunteer, i saw how unprepared people
were to make these decisions

but the right wing called these 'death panels' so the provisions got
stripped out because of right wing lies.

There are 31 million businesses in the US (2007) a third are
corporations. (the rest are SPs, partnerships and LLCs) I doubt this
melt down was even slightly the fault of 1000 of the corporations. It
is really more like 100 truly bad actors.

and 100 bad actors controlled a HUGE sector of the GDP.

and they were out of control...they became a piggybank for the ultra
rich to plunder the middle class
