At least we didn't have to endure an "old soldier" speech .. yet. Like J Herring said. I imagine he still is in the process of mustering out so we are not hearing much from him. I was surprised it wasn't June 30 but the wheels of government turn slowly. There was a glitch in my paperwork and it took them an extra month to process me out too. The up side was that made me eligible for a better GI bill deal but I didn't use it. I had a good job the day I got out and when I got around to buying my first house, the conventional mortgage was better than GI, since I had money to put down. Yes, he'll be fine. But, he will be forever remembered as the guy who got fired for shooting off his mouth. Agreed. They'll probably put a bronze statue of him in a park somewhere. Snerk |
