The point is that it was insubordination, and that can't be tolerated in the command staff. My bet is we ain't heard nothin' yet. This guy will write a book and do the talk show circuit, probably ending up with a show on Fox or CNN. I expect to see him Sunday if he gets mustered out by then. Well, yet again it's all about what might or might not happen. The fact is that he was insubordinate and that was way off base. He knew this, but he was so arrogant that it didn't matter. His reputation will be tarnished for his dismissal (and for other things like the Tilman debacle). |
