Harry, you had a pretty good job working for a prestigious company. You
got
to see your name in print once in a while. And the pay was great, I'm
sure.
Why did you get fired and why haven't you been able to secure employment
since then? Doesn't that make you the dumbest blowhard in rec.boats?

I've been self-employed continuously since 1990. I have five accounts on
long-term contracts right now, and have had four to six such contracts for
the past 10 years.

Snotty Scotty couldn't as an adult handle the sorts of summer jobs I had
as a post-high school/college student.

You didn't answer the question. Why couldn't you find a job after Uulico
fired you?

Come on. He never said he was going to end either war on the first day as

He said he would start the withdrawal from Iraq on Jan 20.
It is 16 months later and the total commitment in the two wars is
higher than it was in 1q09.

Which he did. The number in Iraq is much lower. He never said he would end
the Afg. war in 18 months. In fact, he said he would escalate and fix the
situation.

we're not the soviets. and i realize you're a craven coward but brave
US and canadian soliders are dying to defend the west in afghanistan

you hate the west, its civilzation and culture. kluxers are generally

Yeah, the Soviets were smart enough to go home.

Why do you hate our kids? You like them dying in foreign wars where we
have no national interest.

We certainly have a national interest in both places NOW. Prior to 9/11,
we
had limited national interest in Iraq.

I don't see any compelling national interest in either.

In Iraq., we have a containment issue with Iran. We have a possibility of a
failed state thanks to GWB's failures.

In Afg., same issues when bin laden was there. He's just across the border
and the Taliban, which supported him is active.

Bin Laden is in Pakistan and Iraq never made any sense.

I agree (now he's in Pakistan, he wasn't always) that Iraq never made sense.

Iraq was about Israel not the US.

Partially true, but not for GWB.

Afghanistan is pure lunacy ... Some misguided revenge thing I don't
understand.

It was about going after bin laden and stopping a repeat performance. That's
what has got to be ensured going forward.

The covert mission to get Osama made some sense in 4q01, 1q02 but as
soon as he got to a place where we lost the support of the locals, it
was over.

He hasn't completely, and we need to get out asap. But, again, we can't just
leave and expect him to stay away.

We are creating more terrorists than we are killing.

Perhaps... counter insurgency is a tough business. Perhaps if we stopped
torturing prisoners and finally close Gitmo, that would be a good start.

Are we going to go into Somalia next?

We're already there!

No one hates our kids. That's just
extremist nonsense.

That was just for Bob who thinks we all hate someone.

Covertly and not particularly effectively. We can't even stop the

Well, where was he supposed to get them? You claimed that he wasn't

Actually, I think it's a bunch of bs that they have those resources.
I think
it's just a lame attempt to get us thinking we should stay.

I imagine they may have some lithium but that is a long way from
actually being able to get it into production.
It could, perhaps, give them a revenue stream that doesn't involve
poppies but I doubt that will drag them up to the 18th century, much
less the 21st century

Perhaps we should just blanket the whole area with lithium. It might
calm down some of them!

I was going to post that, but I thought it too esoteric for the
right-wing-mooks in here. :)

I think I have some valium around here somewhere... lol

:)

Are you saying Tosk doesn't have the right to express an opinion?

Not at all. Even though he's the dumbest poster on rec.boats, he's
entitled to demonstate that stupidity. It is a bit funny to read his
commentary on how others are doing their jobs when he was incapable of
holding onto even unskilled employment.

Snotty Scotty ought to beg his buddy Loogy to come back under his own
handle. That way, the title of "dumbest poster in rec.boats" could be
shared.
Harry, you had a pretty good job working for a prestigious company.
You got
to see your name in print once in a while. And the pay was great, I'm
sure.
Why did you get fired and why haven't you been able to secure employment
since then? Doesn't that make you the dumbest blowhard in rec.boats?

I've been self-employed continuously since 1990. I have five accounts
on long-term contracts right now, and have had four to six such
contracts for the past 10 years.

Snotty Scotty couldn't as an adult handle the sorts of summer jobs I
had as a post-high school/college student.

Are you paying taxes for this self employment?

I'd consider it... I'm a couple of hours from Tahoe.

We were all over that area for 3 weeks but I don't see us being back
soon. Maybe if you ever get to Sw Florida ?

Actually, I've never been to Florida except to Orlando (and the Cape) for a
conference and in the Miami airport... but you never know!

How did that work out for the Soviets?

(answer, about the same as Vietnam worked for us)

"Another country"????

I was really referring to Afghanistan but Iran or Pakistan could
be
next the way we are going.
Again, what happened to the "Day one" withdrawal Obama ran on?

Day one? You were expecting he was going to end the wars on the
first
day? When did he say that? I must have missed it.

We're already doing drone attacks in Pakistan trying to get bin
laden.
Do you think we should stop? Obama is pressing for and already got
international cooperation wrt Iran for sanctions. I think we've
been
restraining Israel from attacking them for a while now.

Not hard to get sanctions on Iran. Even other muslim countries are
worried about the idiots in Iran.

Funny how muslims don't turn in the mass killer eh?

Taxation, modern day slavery. The loss of economic freedom.

It's been extremely difficult to get meaningful sanctions. Have you
been living in a hole in the ground??

Funny how you don't turn in all those people who violently racist.
You sure know plenty of them.

Have you noticed you don't have many friends here? Nearly all of
your posts are lame attacks on people who - own boats! You really
should consider leaving or changing your ****ty attitude. The Harry
and Don show doesn't need a guest host.

Who died and left you boss of this newsgroup?
From what I hear, you can't manage your counter at the contractor
supply store.
Where did you hear that, moron? I'm not a manager at any type of
store.

Ah... so that promotion didn't go through... sorry.

I'll have to congratulate Margaret, she's showing some good business
sense and she seems to be a good judge of character.
On the other hand, why does she keep someone like Kruger on staff
greeting the public?

Who's Margaret?

Dan kruger's boss at the contractor supply store where he mans the front
counter.
Kruger also goes by 'Larry' and who knows how many other handles.

And Bush inherited the war from Clinton who inherited it from Bush.
Your point?

nope. number of troops in iraq under clinton?

zero.

number of US dead in iraq under clinton?

zero.

amount of money spent on the iraq war under clinton?

zero

try again, rush boy.

You must have been stoned during the 90. Do you vaguely remember the
No Fly Zones?

gee. number of troops on the ground? zero

you keep proving i'm right. thanks. i already knew that

We flew sortees over Iraq every day, regularly bombing them.

uh no. the no fly zones were zones where the iraqi airforce was
prohibited from entering. we didn't bomb anyone.

The cost was billions. There were Air National Guard and Regular Air
Force units rotating through Iraq for almost 10 years .

courtesy of an international alliance. that wasnbt the US alone. were
you stoned during the 90's?

you seem to be the only one blaming everything, including the sinking
of the titanic on the 1st black president

rather strange or coincidental i'd say...

You are not listening, There is plenty of blame to go around for both
Bushes and Clinton too.

and yet you focus on obama as if he caused all of these problems and
is uniquely corrupt.

sure we do. the destruction of the people who caused what i personally
saw in new york in sept. of 2001.

... and killing thousands of innocent Afghani citizens will rebuild
the towers?

yep. they're collateral damage. happens in every war.

How can you say that and still criticize Blackwater?
You seem to like one black man but you don't give a **** about
thousands of Iraqis and Afghanis. You are the racist here,

you're right. i dont give a **** about the afghans and the iraqis. for
one simple reason: i am not a racist

YOU seem to think you know better than they do how to run their
countries and their cultures. me? i say let 'em alone. if they want to
kill each other it's none of my business. they're as smart as i am

you? you have the great white father view. you're gonna go in and
force the natives to obey the great white man.

that's racist

Osama is on PAKISTAN, why are we still occupying Afghanistan?
Are we going to invade Pakistan next?

maybe. if we can find and neutralize the nukes

So you do think we should invade Pakistan and take over their nukes?
That is a certain way to lose them

we may have to do it sooner or later

for a right winger you seem to be a craven coward.

You are awful "brave" with our kid's lives

and you're willing to let evil run rampant as long as the rich are
protected. seems the only time you'll commit lives is in the service
of the rich

Oops we already have. Just like Nixon's secret Cambodia war, we have a
covert war going on in Pakistan.

which everone knows about, unlike nixon.

We will not admit we are invading Pakistan

we aren't. sorry.

When that one blows up in our face we
could lose a nuclear power to ther Taliban.

it's been in the process since bush. you just dont understand
international affairs.

I never said I approved of the Bush policy either. In fact it is the
same policy

What could possibly go wrong?

that's why we probably have a trident sub sitting 500 miles off
pakistan

That is how WWIII would start. Great plan.

really? pakistan has a missile that can reach the US?

got anyh proof?
