The CDC says contact with this chemical brew floating in the water and air in the gulf can cause damage to the central nervous system and do damage to blood, kidneys or livers. Certainly the clean-up workers are at risk. I suspect most of the people that live close enough to smell this mess are at risk, too. If my family was there, they'd be headed to safety. Does this mean that workers on drill rigs that are constantly exposed to oil are at risk? I am sure that if you swallowed enough it'd keeel ya but most smart peeps dont do that. BP has done FL a big favor in running off all the tourists, good riddance. |
