Tim, I think your query is misdirected. Why not go after the ID
spoofers/ID changers, and the pack of righties who gang up and go after
posters like 'Plume? A bit of reasonable behavior from "the boys" might
result in what you want, though I doubt this will again become a place
for boating discussions.

Political crap contributions don't discriminate.

I think Harry has at least a partial point. There's a difference between
someone who makes a political post and someone who spoofs constantly, uses
foul language, and puts people down. I'm not claiming Harry doesn't do this.

I'm not defending any spoofers, but also I'm not defending the
majority of the off-topic crap that fills this news group on a
minutely bassis either.

When I started posting here in the late 90's this was really a cool
and fun boating forum where you could get all kinds of quality
nautical info from a variety of true experts.

look at what's here now.

Boating posts have all but been rooted out by the tag-teamers.

She doesn't get it. This isn't a political group yet she used the word
twice in that response. I doubt she visits the dedicated political
groups. They would tear her up.
