Well, here you go, genius. Now, you have the oil headed to all

How's that "drilly, baby, drilly" thing working out for ya? :)

The Obama Administration thinks its a good idea.

WASHINGTON ? Since the Deepwater Horizon oil drilling rig exploded on
April 20, the Obama administration has granted oil and gas companies at
least 27 exemptions from doing in-depth environmental studies of oil
exploration and production in the Gulf of Mexico.

I'll give two contrasting examples.
St George Island on the Florida coast has been nearly destroyed by
tourism. Tacky row house type condos cover MY beach and the interior
of the island is nothing but poorly built "homes" whose insurance I am
forced to subsidize. The destruction to this barrier island is
FOREVER (as long as people exist). By contrast, the Chandeleur
Islands off LA which are being hit by the oil spill will recover in
about 20 years. I'd prefer the oil spill, it is cleaner.

One straight hit by the right hurricane and your island will be gone
forever, along with everything on it. I have no idea why anyone can
buy flood insurance to build on that sort of geography.

Flood insurance is underwritten by FEMA.
