I assembled my new bimini this weekend and marked where I will mount
supports on the boat.
They supplied self tapping screws but think I'll pick up some ss #8 bolts
and locknuts for the job.

neat! a bimini's one of the greatest features on a boat...really helps
in the summer time

Good choice. Make sure you grind the ends of the bolts flush to the
nuts or you will regret it.
