Hint, it is not on your statement. do you even have a clue what's happening to the american middle class? The ones who know how to play the game are doing OK. The ones who trust their banker/broker to take good care of them are getting their ass handed to them. You're really oversimplifying here, my friend. There are tens of millions of Americans who are suffering as a result of the Bush Deep Recession, and most of them were not "involved" in any significant way with bankers or brokers. To paraphrase Woodie Guthrie, they've been tractored out of their jobs, and for many there will never be a job as good as the one corporate management lost for them. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a massive social upheaval in this country, and I don't mean by the soft-brained teabaggers, but by formerly middle class Americans who have been ****ed out of their jobs, their homes, their health insurance, the college education for their children and their retirement. And who should be the target of their wrath? The pols, the wall street bankers and brokers, the insurance companies, and the corporate managers, all of whom are driven by greed. This probably won't happen in my lifetime...but it is coming. -- The Tea Party's teabaggers are just the Republican base by another name. |
