How slow is too slow

My boat does about 35 knots. *But the jet drive ferry boat from Barcelona to
Majorca does 52 knots. *Made me want a faster boat. *The problem with the
really fast boats is the cost per mile. *Buddy is in to offshore raceboats.
Lunch run up the river burns about $150 for the gas. *And that is not a long
run. *Dual 510 CID engines are thirsty.

Bill, the last time I took the ferry from Tiburon to SF, going there
was the usual ferry. Coming back, it just so happened that I got on
one of the catamaran ones, and that thing MOVED!

was the usual ferry. Coming back, it just so happened that I got on
one of the catamaran ones, and that thing MOVED!

You have to ride a big jet drive ferry to see power and comfort. The
Majorca ferry is 98 meters long. (think Football field length) and holds
300 cars, 800 passengers (very comfortable seating and nice coffee bar) and
a bunch of Semi's. And still does 48 knots. We slowed down to 40 returning
as there were 10' swells in the Mediterranean

Who was the mathemitician who said "there will be time enough to relax
in the grave"? I sorta feel that way. Life is short, fill it up, do
stuff.
