My 28' sailboat is now in Stuart, Fl after transiting the Okechobee waterway but I want to get to Bimini and then to the Berry Is. so I need to get to Miami. *However, I am now very tired of the ICW so I would like to sail down the coast on the outside from Stuart to Miami. *If I stay within 5 miles of land, will I have any problems with the Gulf Stream pushing me N.? Wouldn't the charts point this out? http://oceanexplorer.noaa.gov/explor...round/geology/... It's amazing what the gov't does for people... oh wait.... It'll be the government that rescues froggy after his clapped-out, poorly maintained boat falls apart halfway to Bimini. --http://tinyurl.com/ykxp2ym-Hidequoted text - - Show quoted text - Your paranoia shines brightly again! It must be pure hell going through life afraid of everything. So much so that you keep your kids in their rooms doing practice tests so they won't be hurt in that dangerous world out there. Froggy's boat has issues. I wouldn't leave the marina in it. I'm sure there is no reason for your kid(s) to take practice exams...with the genetics you contributed to them, they'll be lucky to qualify for the Army. --http://tinyurl.com/ykxp2ym-Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Oh, and by the way, what in HELL would a "practice exam" do to help you gain intelligence? My daughter, in her first year in high school, is in the gifted program. Next year, her classes include some that give the appropriate college credits. So, she was adopted, eh? No, she's a product of two intelligent parents who love her, but allow here the freedom to explore and if need be fail as opposed to locking her in a sealed room so as to not gain any worldly experience. If we did that, she'd turn out like you, a scared man sitting in his basement all day lying about your life because you didn't get to do anything. Practice exams are designed to teach you about the exams, so you'll gain insight and be better prepared when you take the actual exams. I don't know what is being done in SAT tests these days, but I recall taking the practice SATs in the 9th and 10th grades, and the actual SATs and the "Achievements" in the 11th grade, along with the National Merits. I'm sure those exams and the procedures have been upgraded to take into account today's less literate students. I went to a school where they actually TAUGHT you, as opposed to just giving you the answers via a "practice test", and that's what they are doing in schools here also. |
