Crossing the lake

Anybody here ever crossed Lake Okechobee? If I arrive at Clewiston
near dusk, I may simply sail across the lake at night. Are there any
obstructions to worry about? It looks is if there are a few markers,
only a few lit and it is maybe 30+ miles across.
