Well, the nice big, beautiful bow railing on the Marquis was badly
damaged this past year when a 55 gallon drum hit it. I was up stairs
moving some stuff around in y warehouse and bumped the drum and it
fell about 5 feet. Even though empty, the drum damaged the railing
and it was bent bad enough on the port side that it broke a couple of
mounts. Needless to say, it left a grievous feeling with me.

I figured it would be expensive to have it repaired that is if I could
find somebody locally who could do it, so this weekend I'm going to
pull the railing and instead of try to get it repaired, I'll install
cleats where each rail support was.

I still have the old cleats from the ancient Chris craft . They're
bigger'n what you would find on a runabout, but their available and
should do the job.

But first I'm going to check out the lid for cracks etc. then proceed.

I wish I could use the railing, but I dont' wish it that bad to have
it fixed, that is unless anyone has any suggestions.

BTW, I do have the railing from he Cavalier but it's w a-a-a-y to
big, but it's made of stainless!
