What the "righties" don't like and what they haven't liked from the beginning is that passage of this major league bill hands Obama and the Democrats the most significant legislative victory in decades. *That* was and is the basis of the GOP obstructionism. The righties have been trying to delay and delay and delay so there would be nothing to show for the last year and a half of effort by the Democrats on this...that is all there is to it. What possible credibility would the Republicans have on "fiscal responsibility" after their budget-busting b.s. of the Bush years? |
