Default Can I dump my boat sofa in the chesapeake bay?

Yup, better watch out: them beaver-teeth are sharp!

And if I was a Good Canadian, I'd be calling it a couch, anyway...

The other thing I could do is dissasemble the frame out of the sofa to
lighten it but I still like the over board route, much less to deal

with.
I wonder if it would be illegal.

First, it's repusive to me to think a boater would even consider dumping a
sofa into the sea.

But, "dissassembling" can be fun. We were throwing out an old sofa, and we
started by throwing it off the balcony onto the back driveway. Then we
thought of taking it apart a bit so it would be easier to take to the
dump. Out came the axes, the sledgehammers, the chainsaw...we had a BALL!!
You could probably charge money: $.50 per hit or something. Then take the
pieces to the dump. Easy.
