OH, OH for Algore and Obozo. This is Yesterday's Greenwatch America:
Friday February 19th, 2010 Could this have been the single worst week for the Radical Green Agenda ever? Let's review: Following the discovery of a series of embarrassing errors in the UN Climate Change report, Yvo de Boer, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, will resign from his post in July. Oil companies BP and ConocoPhillips along with Caterpillar, the world's largest manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, and industrial gas turbines, decided to pull out of the U.S. Climate Action Partnership, a group of big businesses devoted to calling for action on Climate Change from the U.S. Government. Only 35% of the public believes in Man-made Global Warming. 47% believe it's natural. A number of scientists took on the establishment, claiming that the world, in fact, isn't warming at all. And perhaps most significantly, one of the most prominent scientists behind the global warming movement admitted that there has been no Global Warming since 1995: The academic at the centre of the ‘Climategate’ affair, whose raw data is crucial to the theory of climate change, has admitted that he has trouble ‘keeping track’ of the information. Colleagues say that the reason Professor Phil Jones has refused Freedom of Information requests is that he may have actually lost the relevant papers. Professor Jones told the BBC yesterday there was truth in the observations of colleagues that he lacked organisational skills, that his office was swamped with piles of paper and that his record keeping is ‘not as good as it should be’. The data is crucial to the famous ‘hockey stick graph’ used by climate change advocates to support the theory. Professor Jones also conceded the possibility that the world was warmer in medieval times than now – suggesting global warming may not be a man-made phenomenon. And he said that for the past 15 years there has been no ‘statistically significant’ warming. We saw the following headlines this week: The Wall Street Journal: "The Continuing Climate Meltdown" - http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100...ections_opinion The Daily Express: "The Great Climate-Change Retreat" - http://www.dailyexpress.co.uk/posts/view/158214 The Washington Times: "The Red-Hot Scam Unravels" - http://www.washingtontimes.com/news...ins-to-unravel/ The New York Post: "Warming Meltdown - The Climate Consensus Cracks Up" - http://www.nypost.com/p/news/opinio...AstOrvovafbIbGK The State Journal (WV): "Too bad, Commies: Global Warming is Done" - http://www.statejournal.com/story.c...364&printview=1 The science isn't on its side. The public isn't on its side. Even the media is starting to turn the corner. How long until global warming goes the way of global cooling? |
