Now someone needs to come up with some kind of fish that considers the
carp as a main stay meal that's also good to catch and eat.

I heard something on the news about some chef using the carp as food...

The thing I understand about carp is they're quite difficult to cook
well and they're an extremely boney fish. But i'm sure somebody can do
'em up right.

Or net catch 'em and grind them up for farm/yard fertilizer and/or cat
food.

There are places that sell smoked carp. Based on their diet, I'm not
interested.

Do you eat Talapia?

Scotty

Not if I can help it. They are farm-raised and taste bland - at best.
Sometimes you just get "fish" and they don't tell you what it is.

Did you know they are raised in the White Bass farms to eat the Bass poo and
help clean the water for recirculation? When they get too big, they filter them
out and sell them to the grocery and the babies start the whole process again.

Leave it to fast food Bruce, Dan, Rob and whatever else you call
yourself to order "fish" without knowing the species.

That's what you get when you eat at your much beloved ****houses.

They can be bland by themselves, but you can spice it up nicely. Try mustard
and tarragon.

Talapia's a lib and illegal Mex fish.
They'll put all kinds of seasoning on it to hide the mud taste.
The libs usually use mustard, the wetbacks use chili and jalapeño.
Makes it taste like mustard or pepper-flavored mud.

Libs - Talapia eaters should set off your lib-meter. Mud people.

It would be a nice trade if the big company, Omega, going after the menhaden
would go for the carp instead. Sure would help the Chesapeake Bay.

Yup. There are too many *good* foods to eat. I'll take a smoked pork
shoulder over a smoked bottom-feeding fish any day.

Ah yes, but then you're not getting your fish oil allocation.

I'll crosspost this one, just so folks know we have a guy named 'jps' who will

Honestly Scott. My dad swore by the Cod liver oil or the next best
thing Flax seed oil for his heart murmors. He didn't think there was
much to it either, until he laid off it for a couple days then his
heart started skipping beats again. So he wen't back to the CL oli and
it cleared his heart back up within 24 hrs.

I think it's working for you.
