They are smart men who know they can take their spoils and retire comfortably. The greedy and stupid will stay, and take what they get. An armed insurrection is in order to clean the Halls of Congress. Steve You really ought to run for congress, Steve. I don't know anyone in rec.boats who has a better take on things. We really need to promote people who don't have big lips, bulging eyes and nappy hair. I'm with ya when you decide to run. I have C More flagged, but shall answer to the comments anyway. I wouldn't consider running for office because of the same reason any top exec won't. If you're a good exec, you go in the first day, and like the new alpha male lion in a pride, you kill all the cubs of the previous alpha male. Then you fire people left and right who can't justify their presence. Then you analyze each department and start chopping. The system won't allow anyone who knows anything about business to do this. And I mean people like truck drivers and hairdressers who have a better grasp of the "system" then the people running this ship. They know that they have to make do on what comes in, and that even stuff bought on promise of future payments has to be paid for at some time. Besides they, like me, wouldn't tolerate the pay cut.
