You don't suppose they're doing that because the Americans are donating more just by texting than their whole country is giving, do you? America is a pretty good country. Shame the liberals are always putting it down. U.S. Texting Raises $11 Million for Haiti By: Reuters * | * Jan 16, 2010 Cellphone users in the United States have contributed more than $11 million to Haitian earthquake relief through text messages in what is being hailed as an unprecedented mobile response to a natural disaster. http://tinyurl.com/y9zb3zz -- JohnH Damn it. First the Germans go and do something just to make the U..S. look bad (of course they didn't do it just to provide what aid they could!), now those damned Israilis are going into Haiti and setting up state of the art triage sites with the best field care possible. They are doing that just to make the U.S. look bad, too, right John? Americans in the good old USA have now 'texted' over $27 million for aid to Haiti. Gosh, that's almost three times the German aid, and it's only the contributions from cellphones. You've gotta love this country, even if you're a lib who's preoccupied with putting it down. Why are you talking about Germans and Israelis trying to make the USA look bad? That's what liberals do. Then they apologize for how bad this country is. Germany is one of their examples of how great socialism can be. Right! -- John H All decisions are the result of binary thinking.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - WHOOOOSH............ What do you think of the Israilis efforts? Gee, a country with a small percentage of the resources that we have, a lot farther from Haiti, sent there emergency management teams in there, set up complete hospitals with state of the art equipment while we were trying to figure out how to get water to a few people right near the airport. Is Haiti going to become Obama's Katrina? You seem to make it sound that way.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Nope, we've done far better in Haiti than Bush did with Katrina, and that was on our own soil. What I am saying, however, is that it seems rather odd to me that smaller, less fortunate countries seem to have their emergency management and response programs down pat. Maybe we could learn from them?? Learn from Haiti??? Holy ****, you are unhinged. The only thing we could learn from them is how to handle a situation like this on the street. From most accounts, in general, the Haitian people have handled themselves with class and patience... God bless them..- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - See the links I posted above. |
