Default Kayaking A boating tale.

Went up to Melones yesterday. A little fog in the valley. I think we beat
the heavy fog. Melones was a balmy 35 degrees when we arrived. Used
buddies Hobie Outback. We trolled Needle fish, brown grubs, clown Rapala
Cd6 and he caught one trout on a small shad deep runner lure. He also
caught a couple small bass. I got one decent bass on a Rainbow Senco, wacky
rigged. Got a little breezy and overcast mid morning and then turned in to
a sunny, calm day. We probably paddled 4-5 miles and got off the lake at
sunset. Nice way to get out and get some exercise.

I don't know why, but I've never had much luck rigging anything wacky
around here. I think it's just that I'm not expecting it to work, so I
don't give it a real, honest try.

Should work well there. Worked on Lake Fork when I used to fish there. A
rather famous Southern lake.
