Since I retired I do not drink anywhere's the amount of coffee I used
to. And still rarely drink alcohol. But one nice thing about losing
the Christmas weight gain. I am using Costco's brand SlimFast for
breakfast and lunch. Yesterday my buddy and I went up to New Melones
lake for some trout and bass fishing. We used the Hobie pedal
kayaks. Was easy to imbibe lunch while pedaling along and trolling
for trout. No fooling around with cutting bread or cheese. And only
caught one nice bass.
You know, you can make sandwiches ahead of time and wrap them so they
don't get soggy in the cooler. Really.
What would you suggest? PBJ?

I like wonder bread smeared with just mayo.

I'd have cut out the booze, and cut way back on the coffee. Maybe only
11 cups, but they'd have to be 8oz cups, not those chintzy 6oz jobs.
Alot of stuff you enjoy is had to give up, but for the better. for me,
no more 1/2 lb hershey bars (1 a night) No more big bag of chips, or

Eight cups in my Starbucks pot is 48oz. So, Starbucks considers 6oz of

Say what!
12 cups a day???
I drink one large cup a day..at breakfast and was thinking of cutting that
down in size.

How big is a cup?
I am probably up around 8-10 cups a day. We have a "12 cup" maker, my
wife takes 16 oz with her to work and I drink the rest throughout the
day.

For us a cup is double... We have an 8 cup maker and we would normally
make at least 3 pots a day for two of us. That comes to about 12 cups
(really 6 travel mugs) each.

Plinkity Plonk paste eater boy...

That's great! Now I can tell what I know you were doing with you sister
and mother and you will never see it.

To say nothing about what he does with his underaged daughter.

By now everyone here has made up their own story. ?;^)

This is what happens when you lack self control and block a poster.

The poster doesn't give a damn but you on the other hand miss all the real
posts about airplanes or what ever this is about.

You won't care that I call you turd muncher then either.

Paste eater is after all not very original. Bipolar Tommy used it as a
derogatory term prior to you using it. I assumed he was a spray paint
huffer too beside the minor paste eating habit founded from his elementary
years.

Well! So long for now.

And there you have it. My confession as to why I don't filter anyone.

I knew a dumbass such as you would come along and not have enough brains
to snip the post.

I spent hundreds of dollars on machines that do what? BOIL WATER

That makes me as dumb as they come.

Maybe not. Just wanted to point out that the microwave is easiest if
you are only making one or two cups. You heat the water in the
drinking cup,the advantage of simplicity.

His revolutionary machine boils one cup at a time. But its beauty lies
in it's versatility. There are a number of things it can be used for.

Microwaved stuff tastes zapped.

Never could figure out why.

Maybe it's imagination.

I agree. Sometimes if there's left over coffee in the pot and I feel
like some, I'll microwave it, and it never tastes as good as if you
just turn the pot on and let it warm. BUT, I have this cool thing that
is like a small basket with a handle that holds enough ground coffee
to make one cup. You simply heat just the water in the microwave, then
stir the water with this thing, let it set a few minutes, and you have
a decent cup of coffee.
