Leaving as soon as I can tomorrow to sail from St. Marks, Fl (on the
upper Florida Gulf coast just south of Tallahassee) to sail to
Clearwater with my 23 yr old daughter and her bf. it will be anywhere
from 28-36 hours with what is supposed to be light winds from the
north.
Sounds like fun. Good luck.
Daughters BF backed out at last minute, rain this morning and forecast
is for 20 kts by morn so we put it off till Friday, Went sailing
instead and found my GPS does not work.
I can't recall one pre-voyage or voyage of yours where something
significant failed on your boats. Maybe you should take up...bingo.

Herr Krause. At least he makes an attempt to prepare, where you only
boat by wishful thinking.

If krausie did any boating, things would break on him once in a while,
but.......................

Uh huh. Not only do I have a boat, I use it. I also believe in
maintenance. You, on the other hand, don't have a boat. Or a life.- Hide quoted text -

Yeah, and you're too fat, lazy, and untalented to do any of it
yourself.

D'oh. I have a practically new motor, still under warranty. Routine
maintenance costs only a few hundred bucks a year. I can afford it. As
for "untalented," well, unlike you, I have a modern outboard* and it
requires all manner of training and special tools to keep it running
properly, not the wrench set from sears you bought at a yard sale.
I change the engine oil and filter mid-season. So far, nothing else on
the engine has required anything other than routine seasonal maintenance.

* there's no reason to believe you own any boat whatsoever...

I think the prob with the GPS is battery contacts, not sure yet.
Living adjacent to the area Harry describes for most of my life, I
have never seen a Klan Rally but I am sure that Harry is very familiar
with how to find them as are many racists.
Normally, I beat myself up for having wimped out on things like this
but am now happy about it. Winds of 25 kts at the buoys.

Indeed, I do know how to sniff out right-wing racists such as, for
example, herring here.
