Default 'I' Did Something Right!

Someone is sending me a box filled with 15 pounds of frozen Alaskan king
crab legs!

(Drool!)

I got an email from the vendor in anchorage with a fedex tracking ID.
They were sent last night and are supposed to arrive tomorrow.

I love food gifts, especially unusual food gifts. Especially seafood
food gifts!

And now, back to the usual rec.boats simpletons...go for it, loogy.

Harry, that is what I like about your posts. You included 2 references
to boats (sort of). Alaskan King Crabs legs are caught on a boat, and
you used the word seafood. Way to go buddy.

I once ran a load of those from Montreal to Jacksonville Fla. The
entire 53 foot trailers content was worth $250,000. When I got to J-
Ville, the guy at the business sold me a WHOLE case of Lobster Tails,
cheap.They were delicious.

Generally, they're already cooked prior to shipping, so PLEASE don't cook
them again else you'll be eating rubber bands. g

I'm having another round of dungeoness crab tonight... best tasting crab on
the planet!

Actually, Harry lives in the "crab capitol" of the universe. I'd
rather eat the local crabs (last time up that way, we ate at Captain
Billy's, which isn't the best....) from the Potomac region than the AK
stuff.......

King crab is rather bland stuff. Dungeoness and Stone are the best,
then snow, followed in distant fourth by blue crabs.

The local crabs are fine, though I'm not a big fan of the spice. I like
alaskan king and west coast dungeness crabs...lotsa meat, not a lot of
work.

We ate at a vietnamese/chinese seafood family restaurant a few weeks ago
in San Franciso that was just terrific. Had dungeness...best I've ever
had. If you're ever out there, it's the Kim Thanh restaurant on Geary
Street. Dungeness crab "vietnamese" style.

Regional, I'm sure, but we put Blue Crabs first......

Lots of work for little meat. But they *are* flavorful... And in
those Maryland crab cakes, with someone else picking the meat,
outstanding.

Well, Dungeoness are from the west coast from central CA to WA state. Way
better than the AK stuff, and I'd say better than the mid atlantic crabs as
well.
