fact is the climate is always in flux. *But those like Al Gore, etc. are

That's right. The climate is always in flux. Unfortunately, we've increased
that naturally occuring variability due to our pollution. I know it's
difficult to accept, but it's a fact. Things are going to continue to get
much worse, and the only thing we can do is to drastically cut back and wait
for things to settle out.

Why? Just because something (reason A) had an effect, doesn't mean
that something else (reason B) didn't have ANY effect.

Reason A = building on poor subsoils
Reason B = global warming.
