That's where society is at. Forgive cheating on the family. Forgive
cheating on American Citizens and our Constitution.
Forgive every immoral or criminal act.
Hell, anything goes. That's the modern Hollywood theme. That's the
liberal thing.

It's a golfer thing. Golfers are essentially amoral.
OJ Simpson. Tiger Woods.
You'll note in Caddyshack even a Catholic priest golfer was struck
down by a bolt of lightning from the hands of the Lord unto the
priest's putter.
Let that be a lesson to golfers.

Ah, The Perfect Wave is a true story, unlike Caddyshack (although I'm
sure it was loosely based on real events, especially the Baby Ruth in
the pool and the angry greenskeeper using C4 to go after the moles).

Should be touch on the subject of fisherman and God?

Don't know how surfing got in here. But that's ok.

Neptune and Poseidon. More benevolent Gods than the golfer's
overseer, who is wrathful, vengeful, and shoots lightning at golfers.
Which was written, and so shall be.
And quite rightfully so, IMO.

I beg to differ. If the golf gods are sufficiently satisfied that
you've paid your dues, they reward you with moments of joy.

On my last round this fall, I shot 3 under par, 3 consecutive birdies,
all witnessed by a buddy who usually beats me by several strokes. Not
on that day. The gods were smiling on me.

I haven't played since.

I don't know if it's true or not but I've heard that some actually
play on Sunday morning instead of going to church.

God does not dwell in churches only, he is all around us. Besides you
hear more praying on the golf course than you do in the pews.

Mine don't seem to get well answered out there!

Or maybe He's sending me a message?

I know I've heard his name mentioned a few times out there, usually in
reference to his brother Dammit however.
