Eight foot sturgeon caught on the Sacramento River!

I headed again this week to the delta for another few days of chasing
sturgeon. My first day was a skunk near Decker Island, but a boat
nearby had to raise anchor to drift with a huge eight footer to get
him to the boat - and away from the damn furbag who tried to steal
him. They managed to boat him and move him back downriver to save him
from the sea lion - and I caught a great photo of him as they released
him.

On the second day I cruised down to Suisun Bay for a glorious day of
calm water and sunshine - but no sturgeon action.

Day three, back at Decker Island near Rio vista, I managed to reel in
a 46 incher that I chose to release for another day.

I stayed at Delta Marina and RV Park in Rio Vista, a very nice place
to spend nights in the coach and days on the water. Keeping the boat
at the dock sure makes heading out each day a pleasure.

Still pales in comparison to the 11 footer they reeled in off
Goderich, Ontario in Lake Huron.

Well... damn. Nothing I ever do or witness will NOT pale in comparison
to some great and mighty adventure you have READ about. But I'll
likely keep on posting my stories and perhaps you can just pass over
them as you know they'll all pale in comparison to something you've
READ. Try doing.

Well, Sturgeon are on the endangered list. Reading your posts about
catching them is stupid enough. Trying to catch them is absolutely
stupid. You're one of those people who fish them to extinction, then
say " Where'd all the Sturgeon go?"

You ought to get your facts straight, you silly enviro-whacko schmuck,
before you start preaching your twisted gospel. The white sturgeon is
listed as endangered in Idaho and Montana. Both sturgeon in my story
were released. I released 9 this year and kept 2 - both of which were
tagged as required. Not that it's any of your business, but now you
know.

I have one tag left that I figured I wouldn't use, but I'll brave the
cold one more time just to get it - and will do so in your honor.

Every fish I've ever taken is legal - and I am not swayed in the least
by your nonsense.

So get off my ass and preach your crap to someone who might pay the
slightest attention to your enviro-whacko bull ****!
