This is Linngs closing remarks to the Court. If you goggle "louis
linng speech". You can bring up the entire speech. Quite brillant,
he destroys the State's case. Never the less, Linng was sentenced
to death. The day before the execution his girlfriend smuggled in
a small explosive device. Linng was a 23 yo German immigrant.

notes: Bombing was in Chicago's Haymarket district. Linng bit
into a blasting cap smuggled in by his girlfriend, he lasted
two hours. Squeamish don't like to be reminded that America
was founed on political violence. Boston Tea Party, assaults
on British soldiers, lynching of Tories.
