Landing Nets
Do they make landing nets made out of mono line? I spend more time
untangling treble hooks from my twisted line landing net than fishing. Anything else besides a gaff to land fish? Small trout up to 24", but most between 14 and 20" long. Steve |

Stop using treble hooks. -- If you are flajim, herring, loogy, GC boater, johnson, topbassdog, rob, or one of a half dozen others, you're wasting your time by trying to *communicate* with me through rec.boats, because, well, you are among the permanent members of my dumbfoch dumpster. As always, have a nice, simple-minded day. |

Steve There are, but there are some rubberized that are easier on the fish and do not hook hooks very well. |

Stop using treble hooks. Dumb answer from a non-boater. Rob |

Steve Gaff em! There's no reason to use treble hooks. Most true sportfishermen remove them from lures and use single hooks in their place. -- If you are flajim, herring, loogy, GC boater, johnson, topbassdog, rob, or one of a half dozen others, you're wasting your time by trying to *communicate* with me through rec.boats, because, well, you are among the permanent members of my dumbfoch dumpster. We use Rapalas, spoons, Mepps, Kastmasters, and a variety of crank baits for catching trout. We use large trolling rigs, but I have better luck with lures. Kids and uninformed inexperienced adults use Power Bait. I do like to use a marshmallow/earthworm combo fished on a 16" leader, and a lead weight when I locate big ones on the bottom. Steve |
