He is fishing for trout for dinner. Power bait stays on trebles a lot
better. And the treble is maybe 1/4" across.

We use Rapalas, spoons, Mepps, Kastmasters, and a variety of crank baits for
catching trout. We use large trolling rigs, but I have better luck with
lures. Kids and uninformed inexperienced adults use Power Bait. I do like
to use a marshmallow/earthworm combo fished on a 16" leader, and a lead
weight when I locate big ones on the bottom.

Wow, a bait snob, who'd a thunk? ;) But then you will use marshmallow
in some circumstances?? Hummmmm... Sounds like you will use what works
at the time. So will I, and although I rarely use it, I do have PB in my
box...

When bank fishing for steelhead I use a wool glove or wet rag and tail
them (grab them by the wrist of their tail). If you turn them
upside-down they calm right down.
