ABC News is reporting that U.S. agencies were aware months ago that
Fort Hood shooting suspect Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan sought to contact
people associated with al Qaida, according two American officials
familiar with the case. "It is not known whether the intelligence
agencies informed the Army that one of its officers was seeking to
connect with suspected al Qaeda figures, the officials said," ABC
writes.

I thought this problem was addressed when the DHS was created .. years
ago... the siloing of information. If it's true, heads should roll. They
knew about him, did nothing, and they were going to deploy him???

I'm unsure what you're referring to, but it seems to me that DHS should be
able to do more than one thing at a time.
