The cause is hereditary and further reinforced by colleges and universities who contaminate your minds and roll you out into the streets like chicklets coming off the assembly line. As Ernestine would say, "And that's the truth" |

Canada wasn't a country until 1867 I wonder if Tusky Ingersoll is a native of Connecticut or if not a product of its public school systems. I managed to get a pretty good public school education when I lived up there. I'd hate to think the schools there are now so far down the drain that they produce ignoramuses like Scott. Unlike Harry, my system was voted best school system in the country two years while I was there, Manchester, a town over took it one year in between... I forget which publication rated them, it was a long time ago. Connecticut is not proud of the city and school system that Harry has such fond memories of. |

Of course plume is about as sharp and honest as Harry and JPS, Donnie, etc... The point of my post was that we do not occupy and steal... We only help and eventually return the country to the people.. Sorry if that was over the pink army heads... Seems that you're in competition with a couple of others for disenginuity. Listen up...don't use big, multisyllabic words when in discussion with Tuskie. :) |

Apparently neither of you comprehend that I was in high school in New Haven a long, long time ago, when the public schools there were first-rate. Oh...if your school system was so good, Ingersoll, why are you so...ignorant? |

Interesting how New Haven schools went from, your claim of first rate to shamefully sub standard. Care to comment on how that happened? I suspect that the failure of your boat dealership had something to do with the economic down turn and social decline of the region. Come on. Let's here your version of the story. |

It could be the same problem with Montgomery County Maryland public schools. In 10 or 15 years the Montgomery County Maryland public school system will be just another of the thousands of school systems rather than one of the top 3 in the country that they used to be 5 or 10 years ago. It has to do with the policies of the Montgomery County Government. I'll leave it to you to figure it out why. |

I haven't paid any serious attention to new haven since I left the home of my parents to go to college. In the last 30 years, I've been back there only a couple of times to catch up with old friends. The house my parents owned still looks good, as does the neighborhood. I know, because one of my buddies still lives in the immediate area, and I visit him from time to time. The commercial area in which our strip mall is located actually looks better over time, as do some of my old summertime "beach 'burb" haunts in milford and branford. I've never regretted closing down the family boat business after my father died. I was in montgomery county a few months ago, specifically rockville. I loved all the new shopping areas and restaurants, but the traffic congestion on rockville pike was heavier than I would tolerate if I lived in that area. |
