I'm thinking of an alternate method of winterizing the engine. I have
to remove my risers for maintenance (boiling out the rust). What I was thinking of is instead of filling the block with Antifreeze, I thought I'd take off the large waterpump hose (looks like a car rad hose) , and hook my Shop Vac up in REVERSE and blow all the water out the drain cocks instead. Sound like a good idea? My block seems to have a pocket that traps water inside on the Starboard side. Anyone else ever done anything like this? |
