Default A truly racist Department of Justice...

The twisted farce that is President Obama's Department of "Justice"
recently used the Voting Rights Act to force a small North Carolina
town to include party affiliation on ballots for local offices. The
DOJ's excuse is that Democrats are less likely to be elected if they
aren't identified as Democrats on the ballot and blacks want
Democrats—and only Democrats—to be elected.

Yes, the decision is as starkly and as sickeningly racial as that.

We went through this in Connecticut quite a few years ago. It's
outrageous to assume that because somebody is a Republican or a
Democrat that a member of the same party is automatically going to
vote for them and they need the "reminder" of who "belongs" to whom.

It's even more outrageous, and frankly insulting to blacks, that they
basically can't understand who is affliated with what party.

It's reverse elitist racism is what it is.

But then the Democrats are the good guys right?

While we've made it to the Js, how about judges?

The Republicans are one step ahead. The not only have the lawmakers,
they've got judges... What about this piece or work from PA who's
running for the PA Supreme Court???

"His opponent is Joan Orie Melvin from Pittsburgh who also serves on
the Superior Court. Her website tells us that she has been a lifelong
Republican. Her faith is the cornerstone of her life. She comes from a
family of nine children raised with the principles of God and Country.
Her sister is State Senator Jane Orie who helped her get the
endorsement of the Pennsylvania Teamsters that didn't turn out so
well. The Pennsylvania Progressive has the details.

Melvin was in town last month and said of the Juvie Brothers scandal
"This is surreal. It is right out of a Charles Dickens novel."

In her previous visit to Wilkes-Barre in May she gave a long rambling
speech to the local GOP faithful. In that speech she listed as one of
her selling points was the upcoming redistricting after the 2010
Census telling the partisan crowd that ***they needed a Republican on
the court to rule in favor of Republicans in any challenges to
whatever plan emerges."***

And the Republicans bitch incessently about "activist judges."

Nice save. The original message questioned the way the obama's justice
department messed up in Kingston N.C. Since pursuing that topic is
definitely detrimental to the obama. The subject and location of the
problem was switched elsewhere.

My definition of a racist is someone who makes judgment based on the
person skin color. and we know who does that. Especially if a white
Police officer in a Connecticut is involved.
