How 'bout the name being changed to rec.rants? arrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Dalewww.FishWisher.com oops. I guess "Seedoo" is boating related. One boat post out of 30 is still pathetic. Lets up the ante. I'm gonna be winterizig my boat this weekend. it's getting too cold too soon. ________ And I'm going to dive mine to change the zincs! Zincs... so this is because the zinc becomes a more attractive anode than the other metal, right? -- Nom=de=Plume In case you aren't just making conversation: http://www.answers.com/topic/sacrificial-anode Any time 2 or more dissimilar metals are placed in an electrolyte, the metal with the lowest nobility is going to disappear. Stainless and bronze, the bronze loses. Stainless, bronze and zinc, the zinc goes away. Zincs are a lot cheaper to replace than running gear! Need to chnge them before they are totally shot. Boats in a marina with electrical problems on the dock will need zincs far more often that boats in a place without those problems. My explanation might not satisfy the scientists on the group, but hey, it works for me and casual off topic conversation on a political group.. |
