There's something to be said for symmetry. In a less predictable way,
it seems to apply equally as well to the human condition and emotions
as well as it does to the physical world and geometry.


LEBANON, Pa. -- Police in Pennsylvania Dutch country plan to release
additional details about a suburban mother who last year shocked other
parents by openly carrying a loaded handgun at her daughter's youth
soccer game and this week was found shot dead with her husband in an
apparent murder-suicide.

Meleanie Hain and Scott Hain were found dead Wednesday inside their
home in Lebanon, a small city 80 miles west of Philadelphia. Their
three children were unharmed.

Neighbors say the children ran outside and said "daddy shot mommy."

Police Chief Daniel Wright says he plans to disclose more about the
case following autopsies expected to be performed Friday.

Meleanie Hain made headlines when she attended a children's soccer
game with a gun in plain view on her hip. The sheriff revoked her
gun-carrying permit, but a judge reinstated it.
