Does anybody keep track of the days of the week when we post the most
politics relative to boating posts? I would guess, without any evidence, that as the weekend approaches, we get more boating posts and also get more on a Monday following a weekend of boating? During the week with everybody not boating it becomes political. The obvious solution would be longer weekends. However, for you retired guys, just go boating more so you have something to say. |

Hey I got invited to sail on Oct. 3rd. It's a ranger something. I'll find out more in a couple of days. Are you going with a guy who's a Ranger? Be careful. I guess you missed the part about my part ownership of a boat. So, they're sheets or halyards. Does that mean when someone doesn't know the ropes, they're not a sailor? I'm familar with rail meat and getting soaked and that works, sort of. He's not that kind of friend. -- Nom=de=Plume |

Every time somebody says "Port" or "Starboard" I have to stop and think, "OK, I used to have them reversed in my mind so which one is which now". Sheets, Halyards, for gods sake its a friggin rope. |

Now this sounds like a political or religious point of view! My friend told me that port is easy because it's the same number of letters as left. Also, I like port (wine). I did get in trouble one for asking him "what's this thing do" and pointing in the general direction of a bunch of ropes. He had that annoying tone in his voice...
