Obama Myths

Got another interesting email today. It listed some 'Obama Myths'.

Obama Myth #1: You can keep your doctor; you can keep your health care
plan.
The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has estimated that
nearly 6 million Americans currently covered by an employment-based
plan would not have coverage under the current reform proposals.

Obama Myth #2: The AARP supports ObamaCare.
In response to the President's claims, the AARP issued a statement
which asserted that "indications that we have endorsed any of the
major health care reform bills currently under consideration in
Congress are inaccurate." However, 60,000 AARP members have
discontinued their membership - so one might assume it is a business
decision for them.

Obama Myth #3: 46 million Americans are uninsured and uninsurable.
According to the Census Bureau, of the 46 million Americans who are
uninsured:

* 10.1 million are individuals who have income of $66,000 for a
family of four, but who elect to remain uninsured.
* 9.3 million are non-citizens who generally do not pay tax.
* 6.4 million who are enrolled in Medicaid or S-CHIP but reported
to the Census taker that they were not. (This phenomenon is known
among statisticians as the Medicaid undercount.)
* 4.3 million are eligible for Medicaid or S-CHIP but have not
enrolled.
* 5 million are childless adults, mainly healthy, young adults who
simply do not wish to pay for insurance.

That last one, especially, has been in the mill for quite a while now.
The major media never mentions it, of course.

it doesn't matter if you can keep your doctor. private insurance
companies only let you choose doctors with degrees from the
philippines, or the university of st. george's in the grenadines. they
don't pay for anything that actually makes you sick, claiming that
everything is a 'pre existing condition'.

so it's a myth you get to choose your doctor under private enterprise.
what actually happens is your insurance company rations health care
based on the latest dividend statement to stockholders

?? now THIS makes no sense. is he saying that AARP DOESN"T support
obama and therefore 60K seniors DO and quit? 60K members is about 1%
of AARP's membership....

and many of them have govt health insurance

IOW they can't afford to pay for it because their employer doesn't
cover them and 66K is not enough to raise a family of 4 AND pay 2000/
month for health insurance

So Obama is trying to fix what isn't broken. LOL.

The real reason government wants to do health care is to raise taxes.
Opening the pandoras box to justify insane tax increases, spending most of
the money on pork, corruption and buddy corporations.

Amazing how many fall for this rouse.

Funny, he wants reform, an excuse to bump taxes.

Obama's claim to fame so far, is he is bound to hold the record of the most
increased debt over time of any president yet. Government is looking for a
way to pay for Obama's debt-corruption spend.

It isn't broken. If you go to the emergency room you will get treated
fro your emergency condition.

If you have cold or the sniffles you can go to the drug store and buy
some over the counter medication.
