"On what planet do you spend most of your time" was another of his nice ways of addressing questions. Oh, then he suggested if we didn't go to Iraq, we would have "enough money to pay for health care". As if he and the rest of the idiots in congress wouldn't have spent it all on something else. I would rather spend money killing folks who want to kill us than hand work free money to unions in return for an election or two.. -- Wafa free since 2009 we've already handed a trillion dollars to america's wealthiest corporate entities. why do you have a double standard regarding unions? |

I thought we handed ti to them because they were broke!- well they gambled with my money. i lost money. the rich just want to ensure they don't suffer my fate. after all, the right wing will always defend the rich against the middle class. |

Bailing out the financial institution is a constitutional responsibility of the US congress. One of the first things the new government of the US did was establish banks to control and regulate currency. One of the first large political debates in the US was over the establishment and regulation the US banks. So if the congress did not bailout the banks they would not have been fulfilling their constitutional responsibilities. ( I am still not sure that biden realizes that by the Constitution he is the head of the US Senate. I also understand that this administration and congress do not fully understand what they are suppose to be doing in Washington.) __________________________________________________ ________________ http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html Section 8 - Powers of Congress The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States; To borrow money on the credit of the United States; To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes; To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States; --To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;-- To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States; __________________________________________________ ________________ |

So if the congress did not bailout the banks they would not have been fulfilling their constitutional responsibilities. and they bailed out hedge funds like goldman sachs, which are NOT banks. moreover they also have an obligation to REGULATE banks...which they abandoned like a fat guy abandoning the titanic... so it seems the rich write the rules to ensure THEY get their pound of flesh from the middle class no matter what happens to the economy thanks. i already knew that. *( I am still not sure that biden realizes that by the Constitution he is the head of the US Senate. *I also understand that this administration and congress do not fully understand what they are suppose to be doing in Washington.) chuckle perhaps they should have taken a lesson from bush and suspended habeas corpus and arrested american citizens without charge and without trial. funny you guys lecture obama but kind of forgot what the GOP did for the last 8 years conservatives should try to abide by the constitution instead of trying to destroy it. |
