![]() We finally were able to get our houseboat from Lake City, MN, on the Mississippi, to Town and Country Marina on Ken Lake. We finished the trip yesterday evening, a trip that started in June of last year. Having followed last years flood and having found a tug rope in our props near Fulton IL, its been an unusual trip. Our first repair on the starboard strut and shaft was of poor workmanship, and we lost the rudder, shaft, and prop completely at Quincy, Illinois. We wintered at the Art Keller Marina and recently had the repairs completed at Two Rivers Marina across from Louisana, MO. We spent the last four days taking the boat down river from there, up the Ohio, and into the Tennessee. The best fishing was at river mile 88 on the Mississippi, and I caught my first eel ever in the Ohio (not that I wanted to). In spite of the setbacks, it's been a good trip. Now I can look forward to crappie fishing this coming Spring in Jonathon Creek. I want to thank those in this newsgroup who were kind enough to offer advice and information. -- Posted via NewsDemon.com - Premium Uncensored Newsgroup Service -------http://www.NewsDemon.com------ Unlimited Access, Anonymous Accounts, Uncensored Broadband Access |
