Default Oh yeah, I forgot.....

We just had a "block party" at my house on the 25th of July. "Blocked"
off the driveway, cleaned out the garage and had carry in supper at
6PM and my band [a trio...we play country/rock and we're all over 50]
played from 7-9:30 out on the concrete pad in front of the barn. . Had
over 120 people sign the guest register. I got an email from a friend
of mine afterwards:

"...Hey, y'all.

So glad we came to the party. It was a blast. I don't think anyone
took pictures of the event, but that's ok, anyhow....

Hopefully you'll have another one next year, but I suppose that's all
in the future. But .....

Well, Tim, at least I can tell my metal-maniac son that the wife and I
heard some "real" music done up right by seasoned old farts that know
what the score is.

LOL!
Thanks!
Ronnie..."

I felt pretty good!

Glad it was good! If I'd known about it, I'd have sent you some ribs.
But you probably had some pretty good food anyway.

Thanks John, but there were plenty of ribs for everybody. a friend of
mine whopped up one of those large ..really large slow cookers full
of ribs. Of course they were gone in about 10 minutes.....

A coincidence - I tried some ribs in the slow cooker day before
yesterday. I put them on the grill, on high, just long enough to get a
bit 'charred', and then piled them in the cooker with a couple cups of
bbq sauce.

Those things were great! I'll do more that way.
