Test graphics...
Some test graphics - I kind of like the font and drop shadow, but I
think it's a little strong. It looks like it should all go together. Maybe a little separation and some bigger lettering would help. The blue with the shadow looks good up close, but from a distance the shadow shows very little. Have you considered a red shadow to match the lettering above? Also, I'd consider putting 'Team Shortwave' on one line, about where the word 'Shortwave' is now. It would stand out better. Hell, I'd take the '200C Sportfisherman' off the damn boat. You could always spend ten dollars for some more lettering when and if you sell the boat. Then you could go crazy with the 'Team Sportfishing'! -- John H |

I agree after looking at it some more - it's a font called Malibu Script and I'm not sure I really like it now. I do like the drop shadow though - that's really nice. The funny thing is it looked really good on the tape after it was cut - it just didn't translate to the boat. Maybe another font? On this I trust your opinion believe it or not. Any font suggestions? How about a block font with a smaller Team, larger Shortwave and smaller S. Woodstock set under the Shortwave and to the right? Hey - just a test - no harm no foul. Better to spend the $20 bucks to have it made to see how it looks when it's put together than $600 for side graphics and then not like it. :) Thanks for the reply. |

At the moment, I'm a little annoyed at the graphics place - it was supposed to be done in 3M reflective vinyl and it wasn't. Shadow it like 'Team Shortwave', but make the red a lot brighter. Right now it looks like it got caught in a big spider web. I completely agree with what John said, then I found out Sportsfisherman was not part of the graphics. I would try to lower Team Shortwave on the console, so it stood out from the mfg'er's graphics, or even better, remove the mfg'ers graphics completely. It detracts from the far superior graphics of Team Shortwave. Who the hell cares if it is a 200C Sportsfisherman. ;) Can't - it's in the gel coat. How about covering the whole thing with a decal. It would be nice to have a picture of a fish or something to show what sort of team you have. *That* is a good idea! -- John H |
